Moderation and support of the process for the further development of the strategy of the “Mixed Working Groups” with the Chinese partner provinces Jiangsu and Liaoning of the State of Baden-Württemberg

The project included the moderation and support of the process for the further development of the strategy of the “Mixed Working Groups” with the Chinese partner provinces Jiangsu and Liaoning of the State of Baden-Württemberg, financed by the Ministry of Finance and Economy (MFW) of the State of Baden-Württemberg. In cooperation with the wbk Institute of Production Engineering of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), talks were held with all representatives of the associations and ministries of the mixed working groups from January to June 2016. The strengths and weaknesses of the approach of the mixed working groups as well as the success and negative examples of the joint work of the last ten years were highlighted. These findings, together with the proposals for future processes, structures and topics, were presented to the working group at a concluding workshop in May 2016, whereupon further measures were jointly developed. With the first agreed measures, these findings flowed into the subsequent meetings of the Joint Working Groups between the State of Baden Württemberg and the provinces of Jiangsu and Liaoning of the People’s Republic of China. Thus, the review of results, process proposals and discourse lay a foundation for both short and medium-term measures that can improve the further planning and work of the mixed working groups.
